Essential Oil Resource Data-Antibacterial activities of Mentha arvensis essential oil SN2: Antibacterial and antifugal activities of Mentha arvensis essential oil.
Micro-organisms tested included Bacillus megaterium, B.subtilis, B:brvis, Staphylococcus species, Sarcina species, Pseudomonas species, Escherichia coli and Asperigillud parasiticus. Of the twelve bacterial species, Bacillus brevis was the most sensitive, followed equally by the staphylococcus and B.subtilis. Aspergillus parasiticus was the most sensitive of the twenty fungi tested. Sarina species and E.coli were resistant to the oil. Ref: Bob Harris |
