— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 5, 2020“Don’t let it dominate. Don’t let it take over your lives. Don’t let that happen,” he said.
“We have the greatest country in the world. We’re going back. We’re going back to work. We’re going to be out front. As your leader, I had to do that. I knew there’s danger to it, but I had to do it.”

He also told Americans not to be “afraid” of the virus, saying a vaccine would be “coming momentarily”.Since the video was posted, a number of Trump’s famous detractors have criticised his message, including Marvel star Chris Evans and showbiz legend Bette Midler.

“Don’t be afraid of Covid?!” Chris questioned. “You’ve been under round-the-clock care by the best doctors using the best drugs. Do you really think everyone has access to that?!”

Trump received rare and expensive coronavirus treatment - and then told Americans not to be afraid

President Donald Trump was given an expensive and not publicly available coronavirus treatment just days before telling Americans not to be "afraid" of the disease.President Donald Trump was given an expensive and not publicly available coronavirus treatment just days before telling Americans not to be "afraid" of the disease.

Before his transfer to the Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday, Mr Trump, 74, was given a dose of REGN-COV2 - an artificial antibody therapy made by Regeneron, a pharmaceutical company.

The treatment is so rare that it has been used on fewer than 10 people outside of clinical trials, according to the Washington Post.

It is still being tested and has not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, meaning it is not available to the general public.

REGN-COV2  works by binding to a protein on the surface of the virus, stopping it from attaching to cells and replicating, while allowing the immune system to attack the virus.

During his treatment, the president was also given remdesivir and dexamethasone, making him the "only patient on the planet" to receive all three treatments at the same time, according to Jonathan Reiner, a professor of medicine at George Washington University.

Before leaving hospital on Monday, the president told Americans not to let Covid-19 "dominate your life".

"I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good!" said Mr Trump, despite recieving supplemental oxygen twice over the course of the weekend.

"Don’t be afraid of Covid... We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!"

But critics were quick to point out that not all Americans would have access to the drugs that the president recieved.

"Of course, this is the president of the USA. He is going to get the kitchen sink thrown at him medically, offered all there is - whether it's authorized under emergency use or not, in the case of the antibody treatment," said epidemiologist Dr Seema Yasmin.

"But then there are 210,000 Americans who have died over the past few months because the pandemic response has been so bad. And they certainly didn't get access to this kind of treatment."

The president returned to Washington DC on Monday evening insisting that he was feeling well and in good spirits.

In a highly staged performance, Mr Trump – who is likely still contagious – posed for photos after exiting Marine One on the South Lawn. He then headed for the Truman balcony, where he ripped off his face mask and gave a thumbs-up to the waiting media.

After pausing for a few moments, the president then turned and entered a room full of aides, still without wearing a face covering.

During rehearsals for the film, the ensemble cast, which also includes Sam Neill, Rainn Wilson, and Mia Wasikowska, met with sufferers to prepare for their roles.

"We all spent a week locked away in a room in London rehearsing the film before we started shooting it and one of things we did was to spend time with people who are suffering from ALS or motor neurone disease," Michell exclusively told

Cover Media. "(We) also spent time with people who care for sufferers of motor neuron disease and that was a very important part of our process, and it, in a way, vindicated and substantiated the whole point of doing the film.

"We were very affected by the people who we met and their courage but also their normalness, they’re obviously just like you or me, they are just people who without warning in the midst of life are struck down by a mysterious, unsolvable, incurable, very cruel disease."

Diane Keaton was originally cast in the role of Lily but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts and the Thelma & Louise star signed up to replace her within a week.

"I obviously cannot imagine anyone else playing that part, she’s absolutely brilliant in it. It’s astonishing what she does – so subtle yet so full of truth and life. I loved working with her," the Notting Hill filmmaker gushed.

Hilary Swank reveals she developed claustrophobia while shooting Away

She stars on the Netflix series Away, which follows a group of astronauts hoping to be the first people to set foot on Mars. She stars on the Netflix series Away, which follows a group of astronauts hoping to be the first people to set foot on Mars.

But Hilary Swank had a rude awakening when she began filming in her space suit costume after she suddenly suffered a claustrophobic attack.

The 46-year-old Oscar winner revealed in an Instagram post on Saturday that she nearly passed out the first time she put her helmet on.Hilary's post included multiple behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Away, including several of her in her space suit costume, which looked similar to contemporary space suits, if a bit thinner.

'I have never, not once in my life, had a phobia,' she stressed in her caption. 'Until now. 'I’m gonna be honest, I never understood them, I always thought "get over it, it’s just a spider, etc. walk away." Until l, of course myself, became severely claustrophobic.'

claustrophobia

The Million Dollar Baby star wrote that her 'entire body broke out in sweat' and that her face 'looked like a very ripe tomato.' 'I almost passed out while trying on my finished spacesuit and helmet for the first time. It is not just mental, it is very physical,' she explained.

'BUT, our mental minds do control a lot, if not everything. After six months, I was not able to overcome my claustrophobia, but I was able to come to a type of meeting of the minds with it.'When we calm our minds and sit with the fear,

NOT try and push it away, we can sit with it in a different way, that makes it "doable,"' she wrote.

Swank added that portraying an astronaut made her 'push into the sharp edges in a way I never thought it would. This was such an important lesson for me...in so many ways.'

She concluded her post with the hope that it would make others 'feel less alone' when their minds and bodies were temporarily overwhelmed with fear.

There's a good chance Hilary will have to put her suit back on in the near future, as Away was the most streamed program on Netflix in its first week on the streaming service. She stars on the show as NASA astronaut Emma Green, who commands a multinational mission to Mars that begins on the moon.

Her husband Matt is also an astronaut and might have led the mission himself, but he's forced to stay on Earth with their teenage daughter after he develops a neurological condition requiring treatment.

Vivian Wu, Mark Ivanir, Ato Essandoh and Ray Panthaki round out the cast of astronauts on the mission to Mars. Swank has won the Academy Award for Best Actress twice, first for her portrayal of trans man Brandon Teena in the 1999 biopic Boys Don't Cry, and again again in 2004 for her role as boxer Maggie Fitzgerald in Clint Eastwood's drama Million Dollar Baby.

Last month, she opened up in Health about taking a three-year hiatus from acting to care for her father Stephen after he received a lung transplant in 2014.

The actress married the entrepreneur Philip Schneider in August 2018, and she was previously married to Chad Lowe from 1997–2007.
